Huelgoat is an ancient forst located approximately 8 km (west-north-west of Poullaouen)
The walk through the ancient forest, which can be accessed via Huelgoat town centre, is a must see.
These atmospheric woodlands, which are popular with both cyclists and ramblers alike, are best known for their massive, moss-covered boulders.

Guerlesquin a small town ‘of character’ located approximately 20 km (north-north-east of Poullaouen)
The attractive town of Guerlesquin’s streets are lined with granite stone buildings linking numerous open squares in the centre. There are multiple architectural highlights to discover in Guerlesquin including statues, fountains and features on the buildings themselves.

Concarneau is a walled island town with cobbled streets, citadels, ramparts built in the Middle Ages and half-timbered houses.
The ‘Ville Close’, is a former stronghold of Brittany dating back to the 11th Century, stands among the calm waters of the harbour. The Island nestled in a cove, the citadel is the cradle of Concarneau.

Saint Corentin is a gothic cathedral, begun in 1239, with soaring twin spires. It also has 15th-century stained-glass windows.

The town of Plouzoch is approximately 36km (north-north-west) of Poullaouen. It has an interesting 17th Century church, the Church of Saint Etienne, with an attractive interior.
Various modifications to the church over the time have left their impact. The most interesting style is the decorative clocher, in the ‘Beaumanoir style’ that combines gothic and renaissance elements.
